Start With the Date and the Town
The first step is to choose your preferred date and the town where you want the tasting held. We host events in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Paarl, Somerset West and Constantia, with private venue and home options depending on the format. If you are planning around a long weekend, month end or a school holiday, book early because those dates fill up fast.
When you enquire, include your ideal time, the suburb or venue, and whether you want a daytime session or an evening booking. This helps us check travel, setup timing and what can be supplied on the day.
Tell Us How Many Guests Are Coming
Guest numbers matter because each tasting format works best with a certain group size. A small birthday tasting at home calls for a different setup from a staff event, a bubbly masterclass or a larger corporate evening. If your numbers are still moving a little, send your best estimate and let us know what is flexible.
- Private home tastings for smaller gatherings
- Corporate tasting events for teams and clients
- Birthday tasting parties and engagement bubbly evenings
- Food pairing dinners and seasonal tasting evenings
- Virtual group tastings for remote guests
If your guest list is split between friends, family and colleagues, mention that too. It helps us match the tone, pace and seating plan properly.
Choose the Tasting Style That Suits the Group
We offer a range of hosted experiences, from beginner wine workshops to bubbly evenings and team building sessions. Some groups want a relaxed social tasting with light snacks, while others want a more guided session with notes on the wines, serving temperature and pairing ideas. If you are unsure what to book, tell us what sort of evening you want and we will point you in the right direction.
Common bookings include wedding wine planning, club pop up events, cellar team building sessions and food pairing dinners. For mixed groups, a selection of local wines and sparkling beverages usually works best because it gives everyone something they enjoy.
What We Need From You Before We Confirm
To secure the booking, please send the key details through the enquiry form on our contact page. The more complete the request, the quicker we can check availability and confirm the right setup. If the event is at a private home or office, include any access notes, parking limits, load-shedding concerns or building rules that may affect setup time.
- Date and preferred time
- Town, suburb or venue name
- Guest count and event type
- Any food pairing or bubbly requests
- Venue rules, access notes and parking details
- Whether you need local delivery or a hosted visit
In coastal areas like Durban and Cape Town, storage and serving conditions can matter too. We will always advise on what is practical for the space and the weather.
How Confirmation and Delivery Work
Once we have checked the date and event details, we confirm what is included, what needs to be prepared and when the tasting box or event stock will arrive. For monthly club events and special bookings, timing is planned carefully so the wines and bubbly are in good condition when they reach you. We also make sure the order is matched to the guest count so there is no shortage on the night.
Thabo Nkosi in our logistics team handles the delivery side, while Siyabonga Dlamini coordinates the hosted event timing. If you are booking from a business or venue with strict receiving hours, let us know so we can plan around them. That saves a lot of back and forth later on.
If You Need to Change the Booking
Plans do change, especially for large groups, so please tell us as soon as possible if your date, headcount or venue changes. A small change is usually easier to accommodate than a last minute switch, particularly during busy seasons in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Cape Town. If the new date falls on a peak weekend, we may need to suggest an alternate slot.
For weather affected events, venue changes or load-shedding issues, we will work with you on a practical solution. The best outcome comes from early notice and clear details, so we can adjust the tasting plan without unnecessary delays.
