Terms of use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Ching Ching Cellar website, including enquiry submissions, club information, event listings and related content. By using this site, you agree to comply with these terms and with any additional conditions that apply to specific services or events.

1. Acceptance of these Website Terms

Ching Ching Cellar, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, provides this website for general information, membership interest, tasting enquiries and event coordination. Use of the site means you accept these Terms of Use, together with any notices, policies or event specific conditions published on the site from time to time.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should stop using the site. We may update these terms when needed to reflect changes to our services, legal duties or operating requirements in South Africa. It is your responsibility to review the terms from time to time, especially before making a booking or submitting an enquiry.

2. Using the Site Responsibly

You may use the site for lawful, reasonable purposes only. You must not interfere with the operation of the site, attempt unauthorised access, or use any automated method to copy, monitor or extract content without written permission. The site is intended for people interested in club membership, tasting evenings, private events and related services.

  • Do not submit false, incomplete or misleading information.
  • Do not upload harmful code, spam or unsolicited material.
  • Do not use the site in a way that could damage our systems or reputation.
  • Do not copy photographs, text or layouts for commercial use without permission.

3. Membership, Tastings and Event Enquiries

Information shown on the site about monthly boxes, tasting evenings and hosted events is provided as a general guide. Final details, including dates, venue arrangements, participation limits, product selection and pricing, may change according to availability and operational needs. A booking or enquiry does not guarantee acceptance unless we confirm it.

Some services, such as private tastings, corporate functions, bubbly evenings, workshops and wedding wine planning, may require advance notice, venue approval or payment terms before confirmation. Where a service is subject to minimum numbers or specific setup requirements, we will advise you during the enquiry process. In busy months, or where stock moves quickly, certain selections may be limited.

4. Delivery, Attendance and Regional Service Conditions

Monthly subscription boxes and related deliveries are arranged for customers in South Africa, subject to address verification, delivery capacity and any applicable local restrictions. Delivery times are estimates only. Delays may arise because of weather, road conditions, public holidays, load-shedding or courier issues beyond our control.

  • You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and contact details.
  • Someone capable of receiving the parcel should be available at the address supplied.
  • If an event or delivery is affected by venue rules, municipal requirements or safety concerns, we may adjust the arrangement.
  • We may suspend or refuse a delivery if doing so is necessary for legal compliance or operational safety.

Attendance at tasting evenings in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Paarl, Somerset West and Constantia remains subject to available space and the specific venue conditions published for each event.

5. Pricing, Payments and Cancellations

Where pricing is displayed, it is shown in Rand unless stated otherwise. We take care to keep information current but errors may occur, including typographical errors or changes from suppliers. If a price or description is incorrect, we may correct it before confirming your order or booking.

Payment terms, cancellation windows and refund conditions may differ between club subscriptions, tasting evenings and private functions. Any deposit paid may be non refundable where costs have already been committed, for example where food, wine or venue arrangements have been secured. Please check the terms linked to your specific booking carefully before payment.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through the enquiry form on the contact page unless another process is confirmed in writing.
  • We may charge a reasonable administration fee where a late cancellation creates avoidable costs.
  • Refunds, if approved, are processed by the original payment method where possible.

6. Content Ownership and Limited Permission

All text, photographs, graphics, logos, product descriptions and other material on this site are protected by law and remain the property of Ching Ching Cellar or its authorised content providers. You are granted a limited, non exclusive right to view the site for personal, non commercial use only. No ownership passes to you by using the site.

You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, modify or exploit site content without prior written consent. If you share a link to the site or mention one of our events, you must do so accurately and without suggesting endorsement that has not been given. Small slips in presentation may appear from time to time, but they do not alter the legal effect of these terms.

7. Liability, Legal Limits and Contact Through the Enquiry Form

We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will always be complete, current or error free. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data, loss of income or damage arising from use of the site, reliance on content, or failure of third party services.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded. If you need to contact us about the site, a booking or a service issue, please use the enquiry form on the contact page. Any formal notice should be sent through that channel unless a different method is later confirmed in writing.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
