What Working Here Looks Like
Our work is shaped by monthly club boxes, tasting evenings, private events and the day to day care that keeps everything moving. Some weeks are quiet and focused, others are full of dispatch checks, tasting notes, guest lists and late venue set up after a load shedding delay. We value people who can stay calm, keep their standards high and treat each order or booking with proper attention.
Based in Franschhoek village, we work with members and event guests across Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Durban, Paarl, Somerset West and Constantia. That means the team needs to handle both local service and countrywide coordination, often at the same time.
Roles We Hire For
We do not keep a fixed vacancy list on this page, but we regularly look for people with experience in hospitality, wine, events, logistics and customer service. Some roles are hands on and some are more planning focused. We also welcome applicants with strong admin skills and a good understanding of premium service.
- Club membership and member support
- Tasting event coordination and front of house hosting
- Wine selection, stock planning and cellar notes
- Delivery planning and dispatch support
- Customer care and follow up on enquiries
- Content writing for our Cellar Journal and club communications
The Kind Of People Who Fit In
We work best with people who are organised, friendly and unflustered when plans change. A tasting evening in Franschhoek may need a quick room reset, while a corporate event in Johannesburg may require careful timing with venue rules and delivery windows. If you can think ahead, communicate clearly and handle details without drama, you will likely fit in well.
- Strong communication and a neat, professional manner
- Comfort with wine service, events or hospitality admin
- Ability to work weekends or evenings when needed
- Good local knowledge, especially in the Western Cape
- A practical approach to delivery, packing and client care
How We Work Across The Club And Events
Our team supports monthly subscription boxes, pop up events, private home tastings, engagement bubbly evenings, food pairing dinners, beginner workshops and team building sessions. That means the work can move from a quiet office task to a live event setup in the same day. In summer, humidity can affect storage and packing, so attention to product handling matters. In winter, travel and venue access can take longer than planned, especially between Cape Town, the Winelands and the coast.
We expect people to be practical and comfortable working with a small, committed team. Everyone plays a part, whether that is checking stock counts, confirming guest details, setting up tasting glasses or following up after an event.
What We Look For In A CV

If you have worked in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban, mention it as well.
- Current CV in a clear format
- A short note on the type of role you want
- Your location and travel ability
- Relevant experience, training or certificates
- Any weekend or evening availability
Joining A Team That Values South African Wine
Ching Ching Cellar celebrates local wine and bubbly, and we want team members who respect the producers, the process and the people behind every bottle. We are a business with roots in Franschhoek and a reach that extends across South Africa, so there is a real mix of village pace and national coordination. It keeps the work interesting and it demands a steady hand.
If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page. We review applications as roles open and keep suitable profiles on file for future opportunities. Please do not send your details any other way.
